Darien Martus

Darien is from Detroit where he studied piano as a child and received a BA in Music from Oakland University. After moving to Los Angeles, Darien worked in theatre, film and television as a composer, arranger, musical director and pianist. In 2000, he completed a Master of Music in Composition at University of Redlands. He has received several awards for his work including the Bay Area Drama Critics Award for Outstanding Musical Score (Some Love), University of Redlands Composer of the Year, and 5 Desert Theatre League Awards including Best Original Musical (The Incredibly Awesome Pied Piper). Darien's CD, "Now" is a collection of acoustic folk songs that he has performed at theatres, coffee houses and college campuses across the country. "Now" is available to download for free from this site .  Darien's CD, "Grand Pop" is available to download free from this site.  Lyrics and album art are here also.

"Side Trip", Darien's 7th commercial album released September 1, 2016, is available everywhere music is streamed and sold.  

Darien's album, "Pockets" was released in May, 2014 and charted at #1 Amazon Hot New Release.

Darien Martus's 4th album release, "Pianosophy" is dance music with a philosophical soul and charted as a Hot New Release in Dance/Pop on Amazon.com.  The title track is free to download from this site.
